Long time no update. There’s a lot going on here and we’re pretty excited about all of it.
First things first…we have 4 new beers coming out in the next 6 days. That’s a lot for our little brewery. We’re super excited about all of them. Here are the details:
“Mandarina Blonde” – A brand new hop variety to come out of Germany in recent years is “Mandarina Bavaria.” These hops exhibit spice, citrus, and melon. Another variety we are very lucky to experiment with here are South African J-17 hops, which exhibit melon, lime, herbs and spice. This beer has both of these harder to find hops together in this beer alongside the classic and flavorful Orval Belgian yeast strain. Think hoppy American Blonde Ale meets a Belgian Pale Ale. 5.1% ABV, 26 IBUs

“Dank Statement” – This is a beer for hop lovers. Intense resinous hop oils from 70lbs of hops are used in this 10.8% brew. To put this in perspective, a batch of our IPA uses about 4lbs of hops per barrel of finished beer. This beer uses 10lbs of hops per barrel of finished beer. This beer is big in every way. The hops we used were Simcoe, Citra, Amarillo, Centennial, CTZ, and Summit. To all of the haters of the Summit hop varietal – don’t worry, just 1lb of Summit was used to give this beer an extra kick. This beer is loaded with flavors of intense pine and citrus for days and days. We hope you all enjoy it. Quantities are limited. Our goal is to have this beer last on tap in the tasting room for about 2 weeks, so while we will be filling growlers of it as long as we can, there will be a point where we will cut them off to ensure that this brew lasts long enough in the tasting room. 10.8% ABV, 102 IBUs

“Admiration” – A West Coast style IPA loaded with mostly New Zealand grown Nelson Sauvin hops alongside smaller amounts of Citra, Sterling, Centennial, and Galaxy. The resulting beer is focused on aromas and flavor not dissimilar to white wine as well as bright floral and citrus flavors to round it out. 6.6% ABV, 62 IBUs

“Quiet Echo” – English Malt meets American Hops. A grain bill comprised of mostly Marris Otter malt creates rich flavors of biscuit alongside floral, pine and subtle fruit qualities of Simcoe, Chinook, Centennial and Galaxy hops. This is a West Coast Style hoppy beer that isn’t afraid to provide an expressive malt bill alongside a colorful hop component. 5.1% ABV, 38 IBUs.
Release Date: April 23rd
Growler fills will be happening for all of these beers. As always, our goal is to have each beer last on draft for about 2 weeks in the tasting room. We will fill growlers until there is concern of running out in less than 2 weeks. At that point the beers will remain on draft until they run out and growler fills on the specific beer at hand will be cutoff. Hope this makes sense.
Barrel Aged Beers: We’ve been patiently awaiting the completion of our barrel aged beers. We’ve got 4 bourbon barrels filled with “Vastness of Space” Imperial Stout and another 13 wine barrel filled with various Saisons. All have different yeast and/or bacteria blends, some will see fresh fruit this summer, some will remain as is. Most will get bottled and all will see some draft action in the tasting room. We are super excited to share these beers with everyone. Still about 3-6 months away but they are certainly on the way.
More IPA: Expect to see a lot more IPA from from here on out as well. The demand for them has always been high but lately it’s been higher than ever. The plan is to have 2 IPAs on tap in the tasting room at most times going forward.
“Taco Hands” batch 2 was brewed yesterday and is in the tank. Cinco de Mayo Release Party in a few weeks. More details to come!
